I love Guinness, but I do not like this commercial. I just dont think it fits the brand or their usual demographic.

I read through some of the comments made about it. I’m not sure I follow the idea that it’s sexist, but I was more put off by some of the other comments by the boys/men, which made me feel like they were sexist – not Guinness.

I love Guinness. I would love to see them change their marketing to include women between the ages of 25-40. Not to say we dont start younger or drink it when older, but most men I know find it sexy that I drink Guinness… why not tap into that?

  1. All the fuss around this ad was ages ago. Guinness/Diageo denied they had anything to do with it and made a big show of making YouTube pull it.

    Of course, by the time it was “denounced, banned, and pulled” it was re-distributed all over the web, making it suspiciously like some sort of viral stunt.

    I don’t know whether it is or isn’t brand activity but I’ve seen you drink Guinness and I’m not sure it’s that sexy :-P
