Twitter is the new Match. Yes, you heard me right.

Think about it. You’re sending messages out. People follow you. You connect with like-minded folks and start @ing them, thus creating a dialogue. Some of those folks are of the opposite sex and are geographically desirable. You attend a tweet-up. That online banter gets carried over into person. Sparks ignite. Et voila!

On a somewhat unrelated note, a study by Intel Corporation shows that “nearly half of women (46 percent) and 30 percent of men would rather go without sex for 2 weeks than give up Internet access for the same amount of time.”

So once you’ve met your prospective significant other IRL, you could be competing with something else in bed… a laptop!
