In the UK there are a lot of ads that catch your attention, but have little or nothing to do with the product. This Cadbury Dairy Milk commercial, which apparently aired during Celebrity Big Brother, is a perfect example.
The question I have is whether people will remember it’s for Cadbury later, or just recall the funny kids?
My question was recently validated when the “Life’s for Sharing” ad that I recently displayed was being discussed. A group of 9 people could not successfully recall which mobile company it represented.
Oops.
Lots of hype for sure, but what’s the point if no one remembers who you are!?
